Here is an original vintage (serial nmuber is 8187809g26) ladies 26 evans/colson commander bicycle. It is in the original and very appealing 2-tone colored factory paint scheme.
If you like relatively clean original bikes, htis may be a great bike for you. It was laways stored inside in a clean dry area. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
This bike is an amazing atr deco vintage bicycle that you can ride or display. It has an original tank with a built in horn, wide comfy balloon tires, the commander chainguard, factory rear rack, and a fender mount headlight. This bike has survived the last 50+ eyars quite well! (not exactly sure what year this bike was produced) i believe the bkie to be basically all original. What a beauty! The tries are 26x2.125. They are vintage tires and do hold air.
The bike has chrome rims front and rear. The bike is an originla single speed with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop teh bike)dimensions the distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27 1/4. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 17 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 3/4. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height si easy to adjust. Noted falws it is not 100% flawless but is nice! The paint looks good for a 50+ year old bike!
The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. The headlight on the fender is just the shell. I dont know where you would ever find another bike like this one! It is awesome! This is a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle.
A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people woh see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike!
A great classic biek at a great pricewhy not ride a bike? You will live longer, feel better, and save $$$ vs of the insanely high cost of gasoline. Note regarding shipping your bike your bike will be partially disassembled and shipped to you in a factory bicycle box.
